Accumatch Real Estate Data Matching Service, Dallas, has released Searchlight, a software tool for tax servicing that finds parcel numbers for large batches of escrow loans by matching the names, addresses and legal descriptions supplied at closing to tax assessor data on a property database.
Searchlight, the company says, employs a versatile "probabilistic" approach, which has been in use at the U.S. Census Bureau and other private sectors for years. This approach enables Searchlight to mimic the thought processes of veteran parcel searchers, resulting in higher automated match rates with fewer errors.
The tool, Accumatch says, reduces open items, tax-service fees, erroneous tax payments, penalties and staffing costs.
